COMPLETE THE PLATFORM (BOL) WITH A DETAILED BRIEF:
You will find below the various elements to be transmitted to us for the optimum development of a project:
- Nature of product: leaflet, brochure, etc.
- Specifications of the product (paper, finishing, binding, etc.)
- Market target and specific use – which print medium to choose
- Quantity : buffer included or not specified
- Packaging and delivery constraints
- Stock or non-stock
- Date and delivery address (subcontractor or others)
THE KEY ELEMENTS TO SEND TO ALTAVIA
- High resolution final production files
- Electronic dieline (if required)
- Approval of the prototype (if required)
- Color proof approval (if required)
- Purchase order
Here are the different types of proofs you can receive:
PDF proofs
While you won’t have a physical product to check when you receive a PDF, you will still have a great representation of your product and can verify the copy and positioning of the graphic elements for approval.
Laser proofs (low resolution)
Laser inkjet proofs are used to verify page layout and assembly. Laser proofs can be assembled, for example, into booklets or brochures, and they also allow verification of pagination, die cutting and folding.
Epson proofs (high resolution)
This is a high quality digital proof that will give you a great idea of how your product will appear when printed, and is generally used to accurately represent colors, images and photos. Different profiles are available to simulate coated or uncoated paper. It is also the proof which is used as a color reference for the printer.
What should be verified :
When your project includes a special varnish (UV), hot stamping, embossing/debossing, or a perforation, it can be mentioned that these elements can be represented by a different color on the proof. If you receive a laser proof it will be assembled, folded or cut to size.
