How do I know if the production of my project has started?
Production of your project begins once you have confirmed the official PO number in the workflow, and approved the color proofs or final PDF. At this time, you will see in the workflow that the validation of the printer proof is in green.
Where can I see the final delivery date for my project?
A first delivery date will be shared with you at the start of the process, upon receipt of your quote and your timeline. The final validation of this date will take place upon receipt of the printer proof in the workflow. This will be indicated in the delivery confirmation box.
Can I see the cost difference between the papers or the finishes?
Yes you can. When creating your product with the instant pricing feature, you see the differences when clicking on the different paper, sizes, grammages, finishing, …
How can I access the BOL platform and do I have to register?
You can access the platform through the following links (according to the l’Oréal business unit you’re working for :

No registration is required, the connection with the BOL interface is done in SSO, so you can connect directly with your L’Oréal login and password.

What delivery date should I enter in the BOL tool?
The required delivery date to your subcontractor (Sotradis, Foxpack, Montapacking, Delcour, …) or your distribution center (Alphen, Sotradis, ..).
In the case of a stock project (subcontracted delivery date required by Altavia and not the MAD?
Altavia takes care of the management of your print project, and will confirm the timeline for print items only. For the subcontracting timeline, you will need to complete a validation with your contact from the L’Oréal Canada subcontracting team.
How long does it take to activate or modify access to the BOL platform?
To activate or modify access to the platform, it can take between 24 and 48 hours.
Is there a maximum number of people for adding participants?
No, there is no maximum number of people for adding approvers. Each person added to the project will receive all project notifications.
I would like to add one of my team members for project approval (quotes, color proofs, etc.). How do I provide them access?
If the person does not have a BOL account, the Altavia team must be contacted to provide access.
I would like to replicate a project I did last year, but I don’t know the specifications. How do I proceed?
You can easily find the project of last year in the archives of the tool and duplicate it. Please do not forget to change the names, quantities, delivery dates, …
What is a PDF proof?
While you won’t have a physical product to check when you receive a PDF, you will still have a great representation of your product and can verify the copy and positioning of the graphic elements for approval.
The quote proposed by Altavia does not respect my budget, do I have to accept it?
Altavia will offer you the best quote for your project (cost, quality, timeline). If this quote does not suit you, you can decline it via BOL. Altavia will then contact you to discuss your needs in order to manage an acceptable quote for your project.
I don’t know the thickness of paper to use for my project. How do I proceed?
- When creating your briefing, you can click on the « waiting for advice » button. The Altavia team will be alerted that you need an advice and will help you directly.
